Welcome to the forefront of renewable energy innovation, where the GNR Shefford project, a small-scale agricultural biomethanization site, embodies our commitment to a greener future. Under the leadership of Paul Sauvé, a Shefford-based entrepreneur and farmer, we are harnessing the potential of agricultural by-products to produce clean energy.

The project, powered by a substantial $27 million investment, is nestled on a farm steeped in history and recognized as a heritage site under the Cultural Heritage Act.

Our mission is to produce renewable natural gas from manure and other agricultural residues, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and creating a circular economy by returning valuable nutrients to the land in the form of high-quality organic fertilizers.

With Prodeval, we have a partner whose reputation in the biogas industry is both formidable and inspiring. Founded in 1990, Prodeval has revolutionized the way we think about and repurpose organic matter.

With Sébastien Paolozzi at the helm, this French bioenergy titan has made significant strides in reducing fossil fuel dependence by converting biogas into biomethane, achieving an impressive annual reduction of 741,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Prodeval stands out as a global entity thanks to its cutting-edge VALOPUR technology, which utilizes EVONIK SEPURAN® membranes for biogas upgrading, setting a global benchmark with efficiency rates exceeding 99.5%.
